Over the past few weeks I used presentation boards, plywood, canvas board, the motor inside a robotic dog, parts of a modern Erector set, a guitar pickup spring, 5 different colors of Premo Sculpey, leather, waxed cotton thread, screws, an upholstery staple gun, 13 dollar store drawing pads, hinges, and scrap metal to make the animatronic spell book from Disney’s 90s Halloween classic, Hocus Pocus. Unfortunately, I can’t upload a video of the MOVING EYE, but you can check it out @travisstevensnerdcrafts on Instagram. This book will show up in the hands of a certain cosplayer at New York Comic Con shortly…
